Chris Brealey
Performer, Musician and Songwriter
Chris Brealey was the unfortunate result of a drunken fumble involving Victoria Wood and Half Man Half Biscuit when they had availed themselves of one too many Bristol Creams whilst celebrating the summer solstice at the great stones of Callanish. Nine months later Miss Wood’s unwanted outpouring was taken in by a kindly family of caterpillars that had made a home in a hollowed out Jasmine tree, in the delightful market town of Wimborne Minster.
The only music in the tree trunk was a 45 of Jilted John (by Jilted John) which young Christopher would perform to celebrate the magnificent spectacle of a butterfly emerging from a chrysalis. By the age of five, space in the tree trunk became limited (Christopher was already 6ft 4 (a height he would rather unusually remain at for the rest of his life.)) So he left and journeyed to Liverpool where he became Julian Cope’s Mic stand, a position that brought him much notoriety in the mid 80’s and prove a subsequent spring board to the summit of light entertainment where he remains to this day.

Sally Brealey
Illustrator
Though she speaks in a soft Yorkshire accent, Sally was actually raised in a teepee on an Indian encampment in the shadow pf the Humber Bridge. One day a passing sheriff took great exception to Sally’s luxurious blonde flowing hair and challenged her to a duel. At sunrise the next morning the sheriff shouted “Draw”. Sally picked up her pencil and has been drawing ever since.
Though Sally may appear to be in her early 30’s she was born in 1869 and in her youth was the muse for Vincent Van Gough. Nowhere is her influence on the artist more obvious than in his furniture, the slender legs perfectly mirroring those of Sally. Sally still retains a keepsake of Vincent that she keeps in a tupperware pot in her deep freeze, so be careful what you wish for if you ask her to lend you an ear.
During the war Sally joined the RAF and parachuted in behind enemy lines to a suburb of Tokyo where she was taken in by a kindly family who lived within the detail of a Willow pattern plate. It was in this environment that the young artist discovered colour (mostly blue it has to be said) and when humidity and heat stretched and distorted her work she said it was intentional and named it Manga. It was this discovery that proved to be her springboard to the summit of the art world where she remains to this day.
